TaskTrek has a very simple interface, where all communication and information is grouped under activities or projects and sub activities or tasks. At each level, there are a set of sections available to cut the clutter and to perform certain functions. ‘Questions’ is one such important category and function, available both at activity and sub-activity level. .

Generic queries or questions

If you have a doubt or need view point on a particular project or task, you can raise a generic question for your project team. All members of that particular project can reply and answer to your query.

Advantages

Many a times, we are unclear or uncertain about the way forward on a project plan, on creative brief or meeting points and then we seek further clarity. Instead of wasting time on checking with all your colleagues on the project or task individually, we can send raise a query right from here.

It could also be related to a team party or an event where you seek views for the larger group.

Normally, you would be sending emails and then getting multiple reply mails, which then get mixed up with your other important emails and creates confusion. Some team members like to do a 'reply all' instead of 'reply' to you, this way you also end up getting mails that are repeated and irrelevant to you.

Using the ‘Question’ feature of TaskTrek, all your messages related to the query will get grouped in a single place, there will be no duplication, and everyone can see the messages that are flowing in a seamless manner and no confusion at all.

Specific queries or questions

These are queries where you need to get answers from only select members. You can select the recipients to whom the query is addressed than sending a generic question to all.

Advantages

In matters of confidential interest or only concerning few members from the larger project or task group, raising specific queries is most useful.
